Shaked is a salesperson in the tech world, a former IDF commander, a guide and lecturer who has spoken to audiences in Israel and across the United States, and a media creator.

Technology is his thing. He has worked with electronics all his life, and every new development in AI is something he learns and puts to work right away. He and these systems are best friends.

On Instagram he runs @hebrewithshaked, where he posts Hebrew-teaching videos with a sense of humor that he films and edits.

When Shaked volunteered at a school in Washington, his students didn't know any Hebrew at all. He looked for a creative way to teach them, and used his media skills to open a page where the students teach themselves Hebrew in a fun, funny way. Over time, every student wanted to be on it.

Back in Israel, he felt the need to raise awareness of what's happening in the country, so he started creating content on that front too.

After high school Shaked wrote and composed חלום ("Dream") out of insights he had gained about life. He tried to put a paradox into words: flowing with life naturally, while striving for meaning.

The song is about the feeling that life keeps repeating itself, and the wish to do great things. That idea still guides him today.

Self-taught on guitar and piano since high school, Shaked now plays both at a professional level and performs regularly at ceremonies and events.

The path so far

Chapter 01 · Karnei Shomron

Shaked Ben Dor is 25 and grew up in Karnei Shomron. As a member and then a counselor in youth movements (Bnei Akiva, Hashomer HaChadash, and ILAN, for children with special needs), he found out how much he loves people. He set out to grow the human side of everything he does.

In high school he taught himself guitar and piano, and he has loved playing at ceremonies and events ever since.

Selling came early, too. In elementary school he ran a small business out of his school locker, selling candy and toys he had bought cheaply. In high school he became a sales representative for a coat and sweater brand, building a local sales channel from scratch and bringing in more than 100 customers.

Chapter 02 · Eli & Yeruham

He went on to study at the yeshiva in Eli (2020–2021) and then at the hesder yeshiva in Yeruham (2021).

During those years he wrote and composed his song חלום ("Dream"), putting into words a paradox he had come to see after high school: flowing with life naturally, while striving for meaning.

Chapter 03 · IDF · Nativ course

After a long selection process he was accepted as a commander in the Education Corps' Nativ course for mid-service soldiers.

There he commanded soldiers of higher rank than his own, officers among them. He walked with them through some of the most significant turning points of their lives and became a steady pillar for them for the rest of their service. Each year he led more than a hundred soldiers from every corps of the IDF, along with officers.

Chapter 04 · Washington, D.C.

After the army he flew to Washington as an emissary for Torah MiTzion. He gave dozens of talks in English at schools, universities and communities, led events for up to 300 people, and booked every one of those talks himself. Over the year he traveled through more than 25 states, giving talks in communities along the way.

He was chosen for the KKL ambassadors conference in Pennsylvania, and in summer 2025 he headed the music department at Camp Stone, leading a five-piece band in front of hundreds.

Living in the capital, he met key figures in American economics and politics. He was looking for a way to make a big impact, to reach positions of real influence one day, and to dream big. Out of a deep love for Israel, he decided he wanted to be part of the country's largest economic enterprise: the high-tech industry.

Chapter 05 · Back home

Back in Israel he started a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration at the Open University, building toward a career in high-tech. Alongside his studies he chose work with meaning: he became a guide and lecturer for at-risk youth at the Chetzim youth village, teaching Hebrew, English, Arabic (a language he taught himself), history and geography to teenagers who had given up on school, and earning back their trust.

He also creates and edits video content: Hebrew lessons on Instagram and advocacy videos for the Civilian Public Diplomacy HQ.

Chapter 06 · Into tech

Then came sales in tech, a natural next step for someone who had been selling since elementary school. He joined an early-stage startup in Tel Aviv as an SDR, and within two weeks he was already running product demos himself, closing them at an exceptionally high rate. He helped grow the customer base by 87%, booked more than 80 demos, and built the company's CRM and an AI-powered sales workflow, a natural step for someone who has tinkered with electronics all his life and jumps on every new AI tool.

Next stop: Singapore, where his wife will study and where he wants to bring this experience to a tech company in Asia-Pacific, followed by at least a year in Boston.
